All New Dishes and More by Wee Nam Kee!

Note: This location is already closed.

Singaporean cuisine has always been considered as a mix of different Asian cultures. This is the same reason why Singapore is known for their food.

Established in 1989 in Singapore, Wee Nam Kee is serving Hainanese Chicken for the past 26 years. Now a global brand, Wee Nam Kee continues to expand both locally and internationally.

We started with drinks: I had the Milo Dinosaur (Php 135) and my friend had the Green Tea Vanilla Freeze (Php 130).

We didn't miss trying their signature dish, the Steamed Hainanese Yellow Chicken (Php 428 for small, Php 848 for medium, Php 1638 for large).

It is easily one of the best hainanese chicken I have tried. It is seriously one of the reasons to visit Wee Nam Kee.

We have also tried three of the four new dishes by Wee Nam Kee, the United Flavors of Singapore. We have ordered the Bak Kut Teh (Php 320) and the Singaporean Beef Noodles (Php 225).

Singaporean Beef Noodles

Bak Kut Teh is a hearty soup dish with pork ribs, black mushrooms, tofu and garlic. I have grown an appreciation for soups lately and this dish warmed my heart and my taste buds. The meat is tender and broth is quite flavorful.

The Singaporean Beef Noodles is a traditional noodle dish with beef brisket, Taiwanese pechay and straw mushrooms, served with Wee Nam Kee's chicken broth. I loved how simple yet well-executed this dish is, that I ate most of it. More noodles please. :)

Another new dish is the Claypot Chicken Rice (Php 240).

Claypot Chicken Rice

Served in an earthen claypot, the Claypot Chicken Rice has Wee Nam Kee's Signature Chicken Rice topped with chicken, Chinese Chorizo, black mushrooms, onion leeks and ginger. It is your ultimate Singaporean rice meal.

For dessert, we had the Three Flavor Chocolate Buchi (Php 128), which has three pieces of buchi in different chocolate flavors -- White, Dark and Milk Chocolate.

Wee Nam Kee is indeed the place you should go for authentic Singaporean culinary experience. I was indeed impressed with all the dishes we have tried. I would love to go back and try more dishes, and the fourth new dish, the Beef Rendang.
