Green Pastures, Revisited

After our visit to The Spa, Mr. B and I went to Green Pastures for a late lunch/early dinner. I last visited Green Pastures a few months ago, and I was so excited to try their salads. Yes, I really love Green Pastures for their salads.

I ordered my favorite drink, the Organic Melon Green Tea (Php 100 per glass, Php 155 for refillable) while Mr. B chose to have Calamansi Juice (Php 100 per glass, Php 145 for refillable).

For starters, we got Pinoy Eggs (Php 125), because I love the fern salad that comes with the egg. :P

I love how the egg yolk makes the fern salad taste better, that's why I always have it whenever I eat at this resto.

For salads, we shared the Farmhouse Salad (Php 550), their signature salad.

Farmhouse Salad

The Farmhouse Salad has shredded kale, chopped romaine, roast chicken, goat cheese, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, corn, ripe mangoes, tomatoes, and honey mustard dill vinaigrette. A serving is good for 2-3 persons, and a bit heavy since it has a lot of fruits, meat, and veggies mixed in. It was refreshing and delicious that we can't stop eating it.

We also tried their new pasta dish, the Scampi-Chorizo (Php 385, for solo).

Scampi-Chorizo Pasta

Scampi-Chorizo is linguini with river shrimps, chorizo, and light sofrito. The dish has a spicy kick to it from the sofrito, but I appreciated how the sauce blended the taste of the shrimps and the chorizo.

Again, I was amazed by the delicious organic food served by Green Pastures. I couldn't wait to visit again to finally try their burgers and their wide choices for organic coffee.

  1. I haven't tried Green Pastures yet because the "Green" on it's name scares me. Really, I though vegetarian food are bland and boring but your photos shows otherwise! The orgnaic Melon Green Tea sounds promising, and I love teas :) Will try this out soon, thanks for sharing :-)

  4. Green Pastures was beside Balboa, right? The last time we ate at Balboa, hubby and I were wondering if Green Pastures only served vegetarian dishes. Now, we know that they offer so much more than what we initially thought. We'll visit this restaurant soon. -- Maria Teresa Figuerres
