One of the most memorable spots we visited in Davao City in Davao Crocodile Park though I haven't even seen a crocodile. Why? We didn't enter the zoo. We actually went there for Sweet Spot Ice Cream.
Sweet Spot Ice Cream offers a unique ice cream flavor that can only be found in Davao: Crocodile Durian Ice Cream. :)
Crocodile Durian Ice Cream has, of course, Davao's pride Durian and Crocodile Eggs! Crocodile Egg is said to be creamier than chicken eggs. There's only one way to find out: try the Crocodile Durian Ice Cream.
A scoop of this one-of-a-kind ice cream costs Php 70, which is already Sweet Spot's priciest flavor. Other flavors available are Durian Dynamite, Strawberrygood Dragonfruit, Banananut Bomb, Mangomazing, Chocobangbang, Melon Manila, Coffee Rush, Cookie Monster, Buko Pandan, Vanilla and Crazy Cheese (Php 40 - Php 60). All other flavors use chicken eggs.
I got myself a scoop of Crocodile Durian Ice Cream while my friend went to the safe zone and had a scoop of Chocobangbang (Php 40).

The ice cream looks like your ordinary vanilla ice cream until I've tasted it. I could really taste the durian, added the creaminess from the crocodile eggs. After having this ice cream, I kept wondering why don't we use crocodile eggs instead? :)
Aside from yummy ice cream, Sweet Spot also serves the world's most expensive coffee: Civet Coffee, also known as "Kape Alamid". My eyes nearly popped when I saw that they were selling the coffee I've been dreaming to try for such a long time.
"Civet coffee is made from coffee berries that have been eaten and passed through the digestive tract of the Asian palm civet cat. When in the cat's stomach. proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans making shorter peptides and more free amino acids"

a cup of Mount Apo Civet Coffee |
So I got myself a cup of Mount Apo Civet Coffee (Php 150).
The first sip and I could feel my world stop moving. I could feel the coffee kicking my sleepy and tired system. It's officially the strongest coffee I ever tasted. It's a rare treat that coffee lovers (like myself) shouldn't miss.
Anyway, I also had a chance to see civets up close:
One rare ice cream flavor and one rare coffee in a single day. One happy me. :)
