It was a lazy afternoon but I don't want to go home yet, so I texted friends if they're available for dinner. Fortunately, they are free so we decided to have dinner at Recipes by Cafe Metro.
I've read lots of positive reviews about this place that my visit was a little overdue. Recipes by Cafe Metro offers delectable Filipino dishes.

We ordered some of the Recipes Favorites. Starting with the most popular dish: Gising Gising (Php 170)
Gising Gising |
Gising Gising is chopped Baguio beans with ground pork and coconut cream. This dish is quite similar to Bicol Express though the spiciness of this dish is a little mild compared to Bicol Express. I'm not much into veggies, but I fell in love with this dish! Even a friend who's a little picky with his veggies dug in. :)
We also had the Crispy Tilapia (Php 215) and the Lechon Kawali with Kangkong (Php 215).

The dish that got everyone's hearts: General's Chicken (Php 215)
General's Chicken |
General's Chicken has deep-fried chicken fillets and eggplant slices with sweet spicy sauce. It was really good that you'll forget eating this with rice. I must say that General's Chicken is heavenly! A must-try when you visit Recipes.
With its delicious dishes at reasonable prices, Recipes by Cafe Metro is a must-try place. The friendly crew is also a big plus. I'd love to have another serving of Gising Gising and General's Chicken.
I'd definitely go back for more, Recipes! :)
