From our usual Sambokojin, my college friends and I decided to try other places for our mini-reunions. We decided to meet up at one of the Maginhawa places that I've been wanting to try for the longest time: BRGR: The Burger Project.
BRGR: The Burger Project is known for "create-your-own" burgers. It wasn't a surprise that it was crowded by the time that we arrived, so we settled on sitting in the alfresco area. What's nice about BRGR is that they also have vegan choices for the health-conscious, so it's okay to also bring your health buff friends here.
We were given order slips and colored pens for our orders. How to build your own BRGR? Here are the steps:
STEP 1: Choose a BRGR
You may choose up to 3 pcs of the following patties:
- 100% Angus Beef (Php 125)
- 100% Beef (Php 99)
- Chicken (Php 95)
- Tofu (Php 75)
STEP 2: Choose a bun
- Sesame Seed (FREE with BRGR)
- Potato (Php 15)
- Oatmeal (Php 15)
STEP 3: Choose a cheese (Php 35 each)
- Bleu
- Mozzarella
- Gruyere
- Cheddar
STEP 4: Choose your Premium toppings (Php 25 each)
- Bacon
- Chili Con Carne
- Caramelized Onions
- Canadian Bacon
- Pepperoni
- Onion Rings
- Sauteed Mixed Mushrooms
- Guacamole (seasonal)
STEP 5: Choose your Basic toppings (Php 20 each)
- Mango Salsa
- Pineapple Slices
- Jalapeño Peppers
- Egg
- Sliced Onions
- Sun-Dried Tomatoes
FREE with BRGR!
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Pickles
STEP 6: Choose a Sauce (Php 15 each)
- Wasabi Mayonnaise
- BBQ Sauce
- Teriyaki Sauce
- Marinara
- Pesto
- Buffalo Wings Sauce
- Special BRGR Sauce
- Garlic Sauce
I called my creation DEKAPHOBE burger (of course!).
'Dekaphobe' Burger |
My burger has the following: single Angus beef patty on sesame seed bun, with Mozzarella cheese, Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Sauteed Mixed Mushrooms, Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Garlic Sauce (Php 250).
I was really overwhelmed that my burger's damn huge! I was almost ready to doze off halfway through my burger. It was really filling and I love it!
Here are the burgers my friends ordered:

Another friend called his creation BOGS burger has single Angus Beef patty on sesame seed bun with Mozzarella Cheese, Pepperoni, Jalapeño Peppers, Lettuce, Tomatoes, and BBQ Sauce (Php 220).
We also ordered sides: Fries (Php 60) and Onion Rings (Php 65)
We also ordered sides: Fries (Php 60) and Onion Rings (Php 65)
Fries |
Onion Rings |
I love their fries and onion rings! I really like how thick the onions rings are and I love thick-cut fries too! :) Don't miss ordering the sides. :)
I also ordered Good Ol' Chocolate Milkshake (Php 145)
Good Ol' Chocolate Milkshake |
I find their version really chocolatey, but I was expecting the milkshake to be a little bit thicker.
Overall, BRGR: The Burger Project is a place burger fanatics should really try! Unsure on which toppings to choose? Try the DESIGNR BRGRS (or the BRGR of the month).
I really had fun bonding with old friends while enjoying the ambiance and the food. I see myself going back to create more personal burgers.
