Bacolod Chicken Inasal is one of my family's destinations when it comes to Filipino food. Aside from their affordable prices, they have a really extensive menu from snacks, main dishes, and of course, desserts! My younger siblings require (command or appeal) for dessert. :)
A visit to Bacolod Chicken Inasal would not complete if you'll not order the Chicken Inasal (Petso with rice, Php 99.50)

Their Chicken Inasal has this distinct sour and gingery taste that I really love with some soy sauce.
Aside from the Chicken Inasal, my parents also ordered Pangat ni Sir Dad (Php 95)
Pangat ni Sir Dad |
Pangat ni Sir Dad is the Ilonggo version of Laing.
We also got Sizzling Pork Sisig (Php 167) and Kare-kare (Php 295).

Kare-kare |
My Filipino favorites are Sisig and Kare-kare. Though I find their sisig serving a little bitin, I love that their version has lots of onions. Don't expect crunchiness from the sisig though. I find it easy to love Kare-kare, I love flooding my plate with the kare-kare sauce, which is really good! Their beef is very tender too!
For dessert, my siblings got Chocolate Ice Cream with Barquillos (Classic, Php 57.50) and regular Halo-halo (Php 109).

Kids (and kids-at-heart) love ice cream! Two scoops of chocolatey goodness are enough to make any kid (my little brother and little sister in this case) really really happy. I was quite surprised at how huge their halo-halo is. The toppings are quite generous too.
For Ilonggo dishes and other Filipino favorites, Bacolod Chicken Inasal is the place to be. With the Chicken Inasal named one of the best chicken inasal in the metro, who can resist it? You should also try my other favorites like Bangus Lumpia ni Mom, La Paz Batchoy, and Black Sambo ni Mom.

Isang beses pa lang kami nakakakain sa Bacolod Chicken Inasal. Tapos nung time pa na kumain kami, walang available na Chicken Inasal (I was like, 'for reals?') Sisig at bbq lang tuloy natikman namin. Pero masarap din naman :)
ReplyDeleteNo chicken? Thank goodness I haven't experienced that yet. Hope you'll try it again. :)

Deletei so love Inasal. we're actually planning to visit any of that restaurants that offer Inasal.. We'll try Bacolod Inasal. the last time I dined in was a couple of months ago. I ordered sisig but was not really satisfied with the taste.. I should have ordered their Inasal instead. It looks very yummy in the pic!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll try the inasal soon! :)
DeleteI'm curious about the gingery taste you described. Most of the chicken inasal I've had just has a typical grilled taste.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if I'm correct about the gingery taste. :)
Deletehavent tried their laing, was it good?
ReplyDeleteI guess it was. :)
DeleteThere are a lot of commercialized Inasal places these days. I hope this resto is not one of them.
ReplyDeleteI don't get sawa w/ chicken. I love chicken! wow! I think bacolod's chicken inasal would be such a great experience when I get there. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also a fan of BCI especially their chicken and halo halo! Super sulit!
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's super sulit. :)
DeleteWhen I was still working with my previous company, before going home we usually eat at their branch in Paseo Center in Makati. Their food's great indeed.
